I’ve been thinking about this for the past couple of weeks and come to a decision. I’m going to close the TCG. I feel its new enough that I can admit defeat and bow out gracefully.

Not matter how hard I try, whether its my deck choices or card template or whatever, I just don’t seem to be able to get people interested.

Updates have gotten a max of 3 comments or so (excluding multiple comments from the same person). A couple of members have gotten their starter pack up and that’s it. It’s just not interesting enough I guess.

If someone wants to take over and try, I will still (probably) host it for you but I just don’t feel like it’s worth the effort it takes to update. And if you’re really interested in this, leave a comment or something.

So, I havent been able to use my computer most of the week (not even to play wow!) as I broke my mouse and I’m the worlds worst person at using a keyboard to control things. So I dont have an update yet :/ I finally got into town to get a mouse today and now I have raids this weekend (well todays is done but yeah) so I won’t be updating yet… I’m getting ready to vege out and watch movies =)

Anyway, due to not updating yet – everyone may take 3 cards of choice. If you’ve sent me an email about something, please let me know in your comment so I make sure I get to it asap.

And because I’m always making decks that I like, I want some suggestions – suggest up to 5 decks you’d like made in your comment and you may take one freebie random card from the sidebar for each deck you suggest. If I make your deck, youll also get a bonus free card from the deck you suggested as well as the normal freebies =)

-edit: some of the ones I’m already making for the next update are : Silent Hill, Let the Right One in, Troy and King Kong so please don’t suggest them.

Wow so I’ve had a busy busy week the past week. My darling boy has 3 weeks off work so we’ve spent the first week of his holidays doing all sorts of *fun* household jobs and chores. Along with planning a new bird aviary and garden *yay*

Anyway….. that’s my excuse for only releasing 4 new decks today! (and for not responding to emails etc). I may release more within the next few days – I just really wanted to get an update done to give you guys something to do =)

New decks: The Descent, Push, The Secret Garden and Popcorn! You may take one card from each deck. (also, in case you didn’t realise – Popcorn is a special deck, worth 2)

I’ve added birthday rewards over in the sidebar (well, a link is there) so if it’s your birthday this month, make sure to check that page out =)

Thanks all for the suggestions made on the previous post – card decks will now be done in the order they appear in the movies – and I must say I prefer it that way. I have no idea what my reasoning was, I really wish I could remember, haha.

Sadly we’ve lost a member – take care Catherine – but it also means there’s a bunch of free cards to collect so head over to the games page to check it out.

Almost all games have been updated. Also, no one has participated in the trading pot yet so maybe someone might like whats in there. If you think I need to switch the cards with a fresh batch, let me know. Also, would love to see more participate in the build-a-deck activity and the member cards activity =) Everything can be found on the games page so go and check it all out!

Oh, and the Easter Egg Hunt will be up for a few more weeks so you still have time to collect some eggs =)

Question: are the puzzles working for people? All? one? some? I’m so mixed up with them – one works for me (though suddenly only in IE) and the others dont show any image… only I didn’t change anything in the script etc so they should all work -_-

New Moon was released here yesterday (finally!) so to celebrate, because Im a Twilight-fan (rather than Twihard – I do still understand that they’re pretty bad movies and books… I just like them ) everyone may take a card that features a vampire =) So that includes cards from: Twilight, New Moon, Queen of the Damned and Underworld.

Also: Is there a day in particular people would like the games updated? Sat/sunday aren’t very good for me as I’m a dorky World of Warcraft player and spend at least 5 hours each of those days raiding with my guild and the last thing I feel like doing afterwards is updating games etc – It sounds short when its only 10 hours out of 48 but still, its a solid 5 hours of sitting at the computer each day. But I would like to update on a more regular basis so people can rely on it =) Take a freebie card if you suggest something here =)

So, after reading some of the comments on the previous post, I felt I needed to make a new post.

First off, I apologise for not linking the cards to the pages. That was me being lazy while trying to get an update done in the middle of the night… it was a big job and you’ll see by the previous post with deck releases that they link to the page. So I’m sorry, I’ll try not to be so lazy in the future :p

The sweeney todd deck is now fixed. I wrote the filename wrong in MyTCG and somehow managed to miss checking that page.

Secondly, card sequence. Someone commented that the cards being out of order from the movies bothered them – would people like them changed? should I change the current decks (which would be done slowly over time because there’s like, 1700 cards to renumber) or just start putting the new ones in the order they appear in the film? I can’t remember what my reasoning was for not putting them in order to begin with :/

Anyway, if you can be bothered reading and responding about card sequences, you can take a card of choice ^^ It’s a pretty big deal for the site =)

Well, here it is, my slightly overdue Easter post! Happy Easter! Hope everyone had a safe weekend =) My plans for this post were slightly delayed by a powercut that we had this afternoon :/ Really messed things up… I’m just glad I had all the cardsets I was making open on my laptop instead of my desktop computer…. at least I had time to set it to hibernate…

Anyway… first up, for Easter! There are many many new decks. One for each letter of the alphabet in fact There’s also a special “Easter” deck which features bunnies! (and what a mission that was). And there’s an event card =) I don’t fully understand event cards but people seem to like them, haha.

New decks: Easter (worth 2), 27 Dresses, Angels and Demons, Beetlejuice, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Donnie Darko, Enchanted, Final Destination 2, Ghost Ship, Hard Day’s Night, Inkheart, Jumper, Kinght’s Tale, Labyrinth, Mulan, Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, Old Dogs, Penelope, Queen of the Damned, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Sweeney Todd, Titanic, Up, Vacancy, Wall-E, Xxx, Year One, Zombieland

You may take 24 cards from the normal decks total. No more than 2 from a deck. Also take 1 card from the special Easter deck =) Also take the Events card at the very bottom.

Next up: Games! Check the games page, almost every game has been updated and there’s also now a new puzzle trail! There’ll be a couple more updates there (besides normal game updates I mean) over the next few days so keep an eye out for them =)

Just releasing a few card decks… I just want a decent amount up for collecting to hopefully draw more members in. Don’t forget to refer people! Plug it in your blog, do whatever =) We need a decent amount of members to make the world go around faster.

I’m sorry I’m being so painful regarding referals – it’s just we all know a tcg functions a lot better with a decent amount of members, not that I don’t appreciate the members that have already joined of course!

Now – for a bonus card of choice – Easter! Easter is this weekend. I’m not religious but I still love the commercial side of easter and christmas So, do we have an easter event or should I hold off on it until we (hopefully) have more members and have a belated Easter? What sort of things would you like to see for this easter event? =)

More members makes the world spin around and I’m really stuck at the moment for ways to get more members so if you have any ideas, leave me a comment. Referrals get you 2 entries into the comp and 2 random + 1 choice card. For this prejoin period I will also throw in a booster deck which you can also purchase at the Store (sorry you need to be logged in to view that page).

Well, I think the time has come to open for pre-joins! There’s still lots to do but we might as well get this show on the road huh? =)

Because this is my first post, I need to make a few notes so bear with me.

1. 12 (I think – it’s 3am and I’m too lazy to count right now) decks are using a diff font from the rest. These were the original decks and they will be being remade once I’ve finished getting everything up and some more decks made. It’s nothing major, you can still collect them etc, I’ll just be re-releasing them soon.

2. Alot of games are missing: Over the next few days, more games and pages will be going up.

3. Link buttons: I have a few of my own buttons I’ve made but they’re blah :p So get donating!

4. Other missing pages: They’ll be there soon! At the moment, there’s all the basic stuff you/we need to get started.

5. The Competition!: I wasn’t sure on what sort of prizes to offer. I can change the prizes if I get enough comments etc. I was going to offer dvds but seeing as people will be from different countries, there may be trouble getting dvds to play and I wanted to avoid this. But, if you have suggestions for what prizes you would like to see, feel free to comment regarding it =)

You can play some games, take freebies, participate in the build a deck game, apply for membercards, etc etc. Oh except for “Charlie’s Wonka Bar” – it hasn’t been added to the site yet though it’s listed in the games. You can try looking but it’s going to take you a long time!

Any other comments, questions etc, just leave a comment here and I will get back to you. All comments are screened so if you don’t want anyone else to see it, mention it and I’ll either edit your comment once I’ve read it or I simply won’t show it =)

I’m still working on getting it to pre-join stage. I request that you do not join but if you would like me to email you once the game is ready for prejoins then simply leave a comment with your email attached or email me at tank.girl@xtra.co.nz to let me know you want to know. That was a really long sentence :p

So, I’m looking for suggestions and ideas – what do people think of real life prizes for competitions (referals, layouts etc)? Or entering to win a prize when you donate certain things, etc? I want this to be a huge active tcg and I think prizes would be a good motivation. What prizes would you like to see? Obviously they need to be relatively cheap (Im not giving away ipods, Im not a millionaire )

Suggestions – what games do people like to see? There’s a games page up with names of all the games so you can tell what most of them are – any I’ve missed that you would like to see here?

Donations – how do you go about getting people to donate? Right now I need level badges, buttons, master cards etc =) How do you reward pre-joiners? Do they just get a few extra starting cards or do you reward them extra throughout the game? =)

Any other ideas or suggestions etc, post them! I want this to be grand =)
